POIESIS 2026, the Inter-School and Collegiate Cultural Fest, is a vibrant celebration of artistry, ingenuity and excellence. The word Poiesis, meaning “creation,” beautifully captures the spirit of the fest—a celebration of the creativity that exists within each of us. POIESIS provides students with a dynamic platform to explore their imagination, express their ideas, discover new talents and learn through creative experiences. It encourages young minds to look beyond the conventional and bring creativity into everything they do. The fest commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony led by prayer, followed by the inauguration of POIESIS and an introduction to the exciting array of events. The presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Jackie Pinto, Journalist and Cultural Ambassador, and an alumna of the Batch of 1976, added special significance to the occasion. The participants showcased their talents across a diverse range of events, including Dance, Music, Fashion Show, Vegetable Carving, Film Review and Poster Making. Adding further excitement and fresh dimensions to the fest were the new events—Entrepreneurship, Virtue Quest, and Act, Draw and Speak—designed to challenge students to think creatively, communicate effectively and demonstrate their unique abilities. The atmosphere throughout Poiesis was filled with enthusiasm, imagination and healthy competition as students from different schools and colleges came together to create, collaborate, compete and celebrate. Each event offered an opportunity for participants to step out of their comfort zones, learn from one another and experience the joy of creative expression. The celebration culminated in a memorable closing ceremony, where the winners were felicitated for their outstanding performances. SJPUC emerged as the Overall Champion, while SJBHS – ISC secured the Runner-Up position. Poiesis 2026 was more than a cultural competition—it was a celebration of the limitless potential of young minds. It reminded us that creativity is not merely about creating something new, but about having the courage to imagine, express, innovate and excel. POIESIS 2026—where imagination found its voice, creativity took centre stage, and excellence became a celebration.

Teachers’ Day Celebration 2026

Honouring Those Who Inspire, Nurture and Transform 4 September 2026 | “A teacher affects eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.” Teachers’ Day at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School was a heartfelt celebration of the lives that teach, the hearts that care, and the dedication that quietly shapes generations. The celebration opened with a warm and gracious welcome by the Administration and Support Staff, who greeted the Manager, Rev. Sr. Shantha Selvaraj, Principal, Rev. Sr. Felicitas, and the teachers with sashes and roses—simple yet beautiful tokens of affection and gratitude. The Manager and Principal were felicitated in appreciation of their steadfast leadership, guidance and support to the school community. The celebration then turned prayerful, with a Scripture Reading and an Intercession Prayer for Teachers, placing before God the hopes, challenges and responsibilities of those entrusted with the noble mission of educating young minds. A vibrant multilingual prayer followed, allowing students to express their love and gratitude in a tapestry of languages. A thought-provoking motivational presentation brought alive the profound influence of a teacher—not merely as an educator, but as a mentor, role model, value-builder and quiet architect of character. The mood then lifted with a lively and graceful dance performance, filling the quadrangle with colour, rhythm and youthful energy. A particularly meaningful moment was the special felicitation organised by the SHPTA, honouring teachers, administrative staff and support staff who have completed more than ten years of dedicated service to the institution. Their years of loyalty, perseverance and commitment were celebrated with affection and appreciation. Addressing the gathering, Rev. Sr. Shantha Selvaraj, Manager, expressed her sincere appreciation to the teaching fraternity for their dedication, perseverance and wholehearted commitment to the education and holistic development of every child. The celebration also acknowledged the thoughtful contribution of the Alumni Team—and the SHPTA Team led by Mrs. Archana and Mr. Francis. Their generous support, meaningful initiatives and thoughtfully chosen gifts brought an added warmth and personal touch to the occasion, making the teachers, administrative staff and support staff feel truly valued. The programme concluded with a concluding prayer of thanksgiving, entrusting the Manager, Principal, teachers, students, administrative and support staff, and the entire school community into God’s loving care. Teachers’ Day 2026 was far more than a celebration—it was a tribute to a vocation. In an atmosphere of prayer, joy, appreciation and togetherness, the Sacred Heart community celebrated those who do more than teach lessons: they kindle curiosity, shape character, nurture values and leave footprints on young lives that time cannot erase.
