Sacred Heart Girls’ High School commemorated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with stirring patriotism, vibrant pageantry and a deep sense of pride in the nation. The celebration was a resounding tribute to India’s freedom, unity and indomitable spirit. The proceedings commenced with the solemn Guard of Honour and Flag Hoisting, followed by the ceremonial patrolling of the contingent and the impressive March Past. A prayer service led by Class 9 invoked gratitude for the nation and its freedom, setting a reverent tone for the celebrations. The campus soon came alive with a spectacular array of performances. Classes 1–3 presented a colourful Patriotic Tableau, while the Bulbuls enthralled the audience with “Rhythms of Unity.” The youngest members of the school, the Nursery students, charmed everyone with “Voices of Freedom.” A stirring Chandrayaan Tribute Dance celebrated India’s remarkable strides in space exploration, while the powerful NCC Drill on Operation Sindoor brought alive the values of courage, discipline, sacrifice and unwavering patriotism.The school was privileged to welcome Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, DIG (Medical), BSF, as the Chief Guest. His inspiring address urged the young students to cultivate discipline, responsibility and a strong sense of duty, encouraging them to grow into conscientious and patriotic citizens who would contribute meaningfully to the nation’s future. The celebration also featured Awards and Recognitions, honouring excellence and achievement within the school community. The Chief Guest’s inspiring message was followed by the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who had contributed to the success of the momentous occasion. The celebration concluded on a note of immense pride and collective joy. With the Tricolour soaring high and young hearts echoing with patriotism, the 80th Independence Day celebration at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School became more than a commemoration—it was a vibrant affirmation of India’s glorious past, dynamic present and promising future.

The programme brought together an enchanting mix of performances—Costume Carnival, Treasure Talk, Solo Dance, Role Play, Puppet Show, Mystic Illusion, Hula Hoop, and Kannada and Hindi Elocution. From imaginative characters and captivating stories to energetic movements and expressive performances, each presentation reflected the children’s individuality and enthusiasm. What made the occasion truly special was not merely the variety of talents on display, but the courage with which every child stepped into the spotlight. Their performances revealed growing confidence, imagination and a willingness to express themselves freely. The appreciative response of the audience and judges added to the excitement and encouraged the young performers to give their very best.More than a showcase of skills, Primary Talent Day became a celebration of self-expression and the joy of participation. It helped the children move beyond stage fright, believe in their abilities and recognise the many talents that make each individual unique. The day ended on a heartwarming note, leaving behind smiles, applause and a powerful reminder: every child has a spark waiting to shine. Primary Talent Day gave that spark a stage—and our young stars lit it up brilliantly.

Parent Orientation Programme

"Partners in Purpose, Working Together for Your Child" The Parent Orientation Programme, themed "Partners in Purpose, Working Together for Your Child," was held on 22nd June 2026, marking the beginning of a meaningful partnership between the school and parents in nurturing the holistic growth and well-being of every child. The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Sr. Felecitas Kiritappa, Vice Principal, Ms. Jozina Braggs, Chief Guest Ms. Elena Smith, teacher and parent representatives, and a Grade I student, symbolising unity, wisdom, and shared responsibility in a child's educational journey. Welcoming the gathering, the Principal encouraged parents to become active partners in the school's mission of holistic education. The school's rules, values, and expectations were presented through an engaging interactive session, fostering greater parent participation and understanding. The highlight of the programme was an enriching two-hour parenting session by Ms. Elena Smith, who shared valuable insights on lifelong learning, positive parenting, nurturing meaningful family relationships, and raising confident, compassionate, and responsible children. Her practical examples and thought-provoking reflections were deeply appreciated by the parents, making the session both inspiring and relevant. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, followed by refreshments that provided an opportunity for fellowship and interaction among parents and staff. The success of the orientation programme reflected the visionary leadership of our Principal, Sr. Felecitas Kiritappa, and the constant encouragement and invaluable support of our Manager, Rev. Sr. Shanta Selvaraj, and the Board of Management. It marked the beginning of a collaborative journey, reaffirming the belief that when parents and educators work together, every child is empowered to flourish and achieve their fullest potential.

Glorious Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Sacred Heart Girls’ High School joyfully celebrated the Glorious Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with prayer, praise, and devotion. The celebration began with a prayer service that fostered an atmosphere of reverence and gratitude. A beautifully enacted skit highlighted the boundless love, mercy, and compassion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspiring all present to place their trust in His loving care. An interactive quiz engaged students and deepened their understanding of the life and teachings of Jesus. The most cherished highlight of the day was the High Praise Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Johny. His reverence, dedication, and inspiring message left a lasting impression on the entire school community. The celebration concluded with joyful fellowship and a scrumptious lunch. With hearts full of praise and reverence, the school community united in glorifying the Sacred Heart of Jesus and entrusting all their hopes and aspirations to His loving care. “SACRED HEART OF JESUS, BLESS AND GUIDE US ALWAYS.”

"Small actions, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world and protect our planet." Sacred Heart Girls’ High School, Bangalore, celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2026. The theme, “Climate Change,” highlighted the need to protect the environment and adopt sustainable practices. The day began with a special assembly and prayer service led by Class XII students, focusing on caring for nature through prayers, reflections, and readings. Class X EVS students then presented a skit on climate change, showing how habits such as wasting electricity and water, using excessive plastic, and unnecessary vehicle use contribute to pollution. The skit also suggested simple solutions like planting trees, conserving energy, recycling, and using eco-friendly transport. Students were encouraged to bring indoor plants to their classrooms to create greener spaces and promote environmental responsibility. The programme raised awareness about climate change and inspired students to take small but meaningful steps towards a sustainable future. "There is no Planet B. Women’s Day Celebration 2026

The Women’s Day Celebration 2026 at Sacred Heart Girls’ High School was a warm and memorable occasion, thoughtfully organized by the male staff and ISC boys. The venue was beautifully decorated, creating a graceful and festive ambience. The programme began with a welcome address and prayer service, followed by an introduction highlighting the importance of Women’s Day and the values of respect and empowerment. The celebration featured a melodious song, a meaningful speech, a soulful musical tribute by the male staff and an energetic dance performance by the ISC boys, all of which were well received. A vote of thanks concluded the programme, followed by a joyful cake-cutting ceremony led by the Principal, Vice Principal, and coordinators. Each woman staff member was presented with a thoughtful gift, adding a personal and appreciative touch. The Principal, Rev. Sr. Felicitas expressed gratitude to the organizers for making the day special. Overall, the celebration was a great success, with the male staff and ISC boys making sincere efforts to honour and appreciate the women of the institution
